11am-4pm. Beasts on the Street is back! Giant creatures will roam Northumberland Street to open Newcastle Puppetry Festival 2025 with roaming walkabout performances between 11am-4pm. Come and stroke a giant deer’s nose, hug an elephant trunk, and help the Jabberwocky to spread its wings. Don’t miss the Toon Underground community parade at 2pm with live music and over 100 participants! Roaming acts and the parade will enter Northumberland Street from the Pilgrim Street end, near Fenwicks.
