Participants will construct a head mechanism and articulated body, as well as working with paint and fabrics to create a decorative finish. All materials will be provided as part of the course price.

Judith Hope is a London based puppet maker. She creates a diverse range of puppets for theatre, commercials and events, across the UK and internationally. Inspired by the strange and the wonderful, Judith's work draw audiences into a world of magic and make believe, spanning large-scale walkabout puppets to miniature characters within a vintage suitcase stage. Judith is a firm favourite at Newcastle Puppetry Festival, having delivered 'Winged Creatures' 6-day Course in 2019, and being a lead artist on our community parades.
